Thousands of screaming fans crowded into Verizon Arena Saturday night for their hometown hero-Kris Allen. It’s the American Idols Live Tour 2009 in North Little Rock.

"This is Kris Allen day man, this is it. This is his time and he deserves it," said Idol finalist Michael Sarver.

"Kris is like one of my best friends on the tour and I am really proud of him. I mean, this show sold out in like two hours, so it just goes to show how much he's loved here," said finalist Anoop Desai.

"Arkansas is amazing. It’s a part of the reason I am here so I am just ecstatic to be home, it's nice," Allen said.

But we also talked about what's ahead for the Idol-like an album he says will likely drop right before Thanksgiving.

"You know I would say a pop rock with a little bit of soul, and something else, its going to be different but I think people will like it though," Allen said.
